The tower was, umm, tall and crowded. You wouldn't believe how many people can fit in an elevator. The observation deck is neat. You can see miles and miles of skyscrapers. Unbelievable. There's another level with a glass floor. I went out on it momentarily, but it was terrifying. You go up in a rapidly shooting toward the sky elevator, and down by a regular elevator and a flight of stairs and another elevator and another flight of stairs, etc.
At the bottom is a fabulous museum. It's a walk through the history of Shanghai. We took more pictures there than anywhere else, because it shows where Annalyn's birth family has come from. Modern Shanghai is so crowded it's hard to really see it.
Annalyn began giggling with us in public today. Until now all laughs were saved for the hotel room. She still won't have anything to do with anyone else, but at least she was out of her shell. She avoids anyone speaking Chinese. She practiced walking at the top of the pearl tower, and she slept through Chinese tourists taking photos of her in her stroller on the Bund.
